Steven began working as a veterinary assistant in 2006 while attending Boston University. 

In 2010, he was accepted to sit for the Veterinary Technician National Exam based on on-the-job experience. He has been a registered veterinary technician since March 2010, and he has worked in the field of veterinary surgery since 2008.

He has worked in the surgery department at Georgia Veterinary Specialists since March of 2010, where his practice was limited primarily to the orthopedic service in 2014 – the same year he was admitted to the AVST. 

He enjoys teaching and research, especially pertaining to orthopedic surgery. His areas of interest include developmental orthopedic disease, angular limb deformity, and external skeletal fixation.

He lives in the northern suburbs of Atlanta with his South African Mastiff, Bigwig.
