EXPERIENCED CERTIFIED VETERINARY TECHNICIANS wanted to deliver anesthesia to increase risk surgery, neurology and fluoroscopy patients. Southwest Florida Veterinary Specialists was established over 9 years ago and has a large referral base in the community. We have specialists in Internal Medicine, Dentistry/Oral Surgery, Surgery, Neurology, Cardiology, and Critical Care and Florida’s ONLY fully equipped pet ambulance. A facility expansion was just completed expanding our hospital to 7300sqft, including 3 new surgery suites, surgical prep/pack area as well as dedicated treatment/ward areas. A CE conference room allows us to provide monthly lectures to local veterinarians and technicians. SWFVS has state-of-the-art equipment including digital radiography, ultrasound, high-definition endoscopy, arthroscopy, laparoscopy and thoracoscopy, fluoroscopy and a full in-house laboratory and pharmacy. CT/MRI are available offsite.

Certified Veterinary Technician, Florida certification not required
3 years veterinary anesthesia experience
Experience with advanced anesthesia monitoring for
specialty and emergency case loads
We are a paper light hospital, comfort with computers is a must
Perform drug calculations, attention to detail, ability to lift heavy patients
Ability to work independently and with a team
Anesthesia induction and monitoring
Potential CE training to local techs and vets
Regular working hours in a full time capacity

Surgery Technician Supervisor
The Surgery Service of The Matthew J. Ryan Veterinary Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania is seeking a licensed veterinary technician with experience in surgery and OR management to supervise a growing staff of 7 OR technicians and 1 sterilizing technician.
The ideal candidate is a CVT who possesses advanced knowledge of surgical procedures and instrumentation, proper sterilization techniques, principles of infection control, aseptic techniques and perioperative patient care. This person will also help to provide vision and leadership for the service. Those with VTS certification will be given highest consideration. Previous management experience preferred.
